Oops!

I decided on a whim yesterday to get in the baby pool with J, with my shorts, shirt, etc. on. I was so worried that I would splash all the water out that I neglected to remember my cell phone was in my shorts pocket. I pulled it out and tried it. Of course it was freaking out, dead battery blinking (even though it wasn't dead). I took it apart and let it dry out. I thought it was dry enough, but when I put it back together last night it would randomly dial China. So I left it apart all night. So far so good, however, I am prepared to replace the battery if needed. Not exactly cheap, but at least I just have the cheapie phone that comes with our cell plan. Can you imagine if I had done this to an iPhone? How badly would I be crying right now?

Here are my layouts for A Kiss on the Chic with the Summertime kit:

Like I said, I really gravitated toward the red, but I love the blues and greens too. Everything is Jenni bowlin, Websters pages, Prima, etc. I believe the kit is still on sale now. Tell me I'm not the only one who forgets about their cell phone like this? I've always been afraid I would throw it in the laundry by accident. Happy Monday! Until tomorrow.

I haven't done it yet, but it definitely sounds like something I might have done. Love your layouts! They are all wonderful!

i'm actually opposite from you... i worry so much about ruining a cell phone that it borders on obsession and stresses me out to no end. which is one of the reasons i gave up having a cell phone. i think your way is better... just have fun. cell phones can be replaced, but that particular opportunity to hang in the kiddie pool is irreplacable :-)

lovely layouts!

great layouts!

and I feel ya on the cellphone. I've never done that but my stepdad has dropped three different phones in the toilet, if that makes you feel any better. Actually, according to statistics, that's the biggest cause of cellphone "deaths" -- being dropped in the potty. Ew.

Sorry to hear about your cell phone. I cannot tell you how many people dive into my pool with cell phones, iPod, etc. in their pockets. It has gotten to the point where I scream tech check before anyone steps onto my deck.

Beautiful layouts. But you always do beautiful work. I need to find some new adjectives as I have become predictable. They are stunning though.

Oh my! While I hesitate to say I've never done that with my phone, for fear I might jinx myself, I've been know to do much more damage to other things! Hope it dries out and doesn't need the new battery!

Love your layouts! I particularly love the Webster Pages. I keep saying I'm going to get my hands on some of their product but I never do. I need to get on that...pronto!

OK, first off, these pages are AMAZING. love them.

Secondly, my phone met the (full of water) kitchen sink a few weeks back and I wasn't so lucky. Total loss. But, like you, I chose the cheap-o phone, so I didn't have to shed tears. :)

I just love your work, beautifully done layouts, truly! Hope things work out with the phone... I've run over mine with the car before, so know that you are not alone... those darn things just never are in the right place at the right time.

I love your LOs! A nice balance of detail and white space!
I had my handphone drop into the toilet bowl once and it was gross and inconvenient. I feel your pain.
