Red dirt
I miss Tennessee, dreadfully today. I have my pictures for comfort, I just never thought I would look at them as much as I do or I would have taken more and better ones. I never thought I would fall in love with TN, I'm not from there, didn't know a soul when I went to live there. I just miss everything about it--our green lawn (all we have is asphalt here), the big blue never ending open sky, the friendly people with a drawl and the red red dirt. The last one was so bizarre that I did actually take a couple of pictures. I miss shopping and eating in Nashville. I miss working at the base. Today, I just miss everything about it. Maybe it is the rain, the dreary, the urban, the traffic, the crowded, the here. I really want to stop moving and put down some roots, it's just this isn't the place I really wanted to do that. Because I still miss TN, and the red dirt roads.

Place can be so impactful! If you moved from where you are now, you'd probably miss something about it too. I sometimes miss the Sierra Nevada Range something aweful, even though I'm in the rockies right now. There is just a difference and they are not interchangable!
