Like a crow to shiny objects

Well, it appears from the congratulations I got on that layout from yesterday that I have some explaining to do. One more time for the record, I'm not pregnant. However, now even I am freaked out about it. :P
I've been feeling so tired because J wakes up after midnight and does not go back to sleep. This has been going on for a week. He is not sick that I am aware of. I think if anything his language has exploded and he wakes up jabbering on about everything--balls, woody, gee (the dog, as in doggee). And while I'm grateful that one fire appears to have been put out, the lack of sleep is killing me.  I used some new tricks at bedtime last night, and they appear to be working. Ha ha! I'm so thankful sometimes for the Internet, it's like having a group of a million moms in your living room who are going through exactly the same thing give you advice. A modern miracle is what it is.
I hope to get some green pictures today. I know, I'm such a slacker not staging my photos. I did get J a green shirt for $3 at Michael's last week. And I got these for me:
I can't really explain my fascination with the push pins. I can't. I don't understand it. And I'm not the person who should be fascinated by them, I'm entirely too clumsy (yep, I still have my surgery degree hanging on the wall, mocking me). I've stick myself more times than I can count now with the Maya Road pearl ones. They are in a bag and the ends stick out every which way and get me every time I haphazardly move that thing around my space. My goal is now to use 6 of these pins, so that I can put the pearl ones in their spots on the circle. The javelins need to be confined to the circle for the safety of everyone in my household. (I'm not the only one who has picked up the bag wrong, dh is none to happy about my masochistic obsession either. I shouldn't have left them on the counter.) But they are pretty uh? Until tomorrow.

I am a sucker for those pins too. Never seem to use them as much as I would like though. LOL

Hope J starts sleeping. I have no advice to offer. Sorry. I can send you empathy though since we have been there. L used to wake up every night and stay awake for exactly two hours. EXACTLY She started sleeping then we moved here when she was 2 1/2 and it started all over again. Hang in there. Sending lots of hugs.

Having been there myself, I found an amazing vitamin that the doctors gave us the ok to give the boys. Melatonin became my best friend for about two years (yes, that's how long it took Brendan to 'learn' how to sleep.). Now and then I will see him go through a week or two where he resorts back to not sleeping, but we just chat about it now. It has somewhat to do with his anxiety. Again, Danielle, if you need anything, let me know. :)

I can't resist the pins. I buy them in droves. They just make such a cute accent to so many things. You're not alone my dear, not alone at all.

I hope you start getting some quality sleep. I know how awful it is not to get it.

As for the push pins they look a lot like jewelry to me....BLING! doesn't ever girl like that? at least a little?

Gorgeous layout! Also, I always like to get comments like that...you can tell who actually read your whole post and who didn't...although I am as guilty as the next person of skimming sometimes....

We still have some sleepless nights too...Between pregnancy and Caeden, I haven't had a full night's sleep in over 2 years. Part of it I guess...but it does get stressful sometimes

Those pins are wonderful, although I've resisted that particular temptation lately. That sleeping issue is a challenge. But hang in there, it won't last forever. Could it be a bit of a growth spurt?

lemme get this straight....you're NOT pregnant. You need sleep. And you love stick pins.

I'm on track, no??

LOL! Sounds like you and I are birds of the same, accident-prone feather, Danielle. ;) Those MM pins are SO stinkin' cute! I picked up some Chloe stuff at Michaels a couple of weeks ago, but they didn't have the pins. I'll have to hunt them down. Must have them. So that I can then puncture myself with them.

Love the pins! I'm a collector and have trouble finding ways to use them! Sorry about the no-sleep! I think it's pretty common for sleep schedules to be off when kids hit a new milestone, so I bet it is all of his newfound words :) Doesn't make it any easier though. Hope it passes quickly!

I totally have the same obsession. I have a whole bunch of push pins. But, I'll only use them on special projects! Strange thing indeed.
