YSS gift certificate giveaway #1

Good Monday morning to you! As the April Guest designer for Your Scrapbook Stash.com, I will be giving away 3 gift certificates to the store, good for whatever you'd like to spend them on. This giveaway, since I will be emailing the winner a $10 gift certificate, is open to internationals as well. (Very excited to include you too!) I will keep the giveaway open through Tuesday at midnight. I will draw a winner shortly after that, and as quick as you can email me, you will have your prize?! How cool is that?
I've discovered something about myself, I don't really like shopping. (sacrilege) I stress about things for my house, often contemplating a purchase for a month (at least) and up to 6 months for something like carpet. I become frighteningly indecisive when clothes shopping. And I hate shoe shopping (it's true). It is not uncommon for my dh to whisper to me that it's time for a new pair, especially when he sees me with duck tape in hand to fix the soles. I can't help it, I feel like I'll never find a pair as comfortable or functional as what I have. I get attached, it isn't pretty. Now, I have professional clothes for work. I can dress up when I need to. No need to worry that I look that frumpy, although on the weekends I do feel a bit nibbled on by the frumpy monster. I despise going to the food store. Scrapbook supplies are the only thing that I truly enjoy shopping for. (I'm a freak, I know it.)
So I hope you won't mind that I checked out the store and the new products at Your scrapbook stash.com and I wanted to point out things that I loved. (Hey, let's spend that gift certificate before we get it, shall we? :) ) Some products that really spoke to me were these:
Loving any and everything Elle Studio. I had never seen it sold anywhere else. And I was going to purchase these for myself, except that I was able to talk Tricia into putting these vintage tags into the Cocoa Daisy May kit (the main kit). How's that for a hint?! :) I don't know what set she picked though, there are quite a few that would have worked for Spring/summer.
Also, since I am working with these products, I know that Erica at Yourscrapbookstash.com has the all the new Jillibean lines--chicken noodle, old world cabbage, egg drop and new england chowder, plus the new Lilybee Hello Sunshine as well. I'll be back in a little with a glimpse.
Please leave me a comment to win the first $10 gift certificate to the store. I'd love some gardening tips, but if you are very green like me and can't think of any, please tell me what you loved in the YSS store, how you'd spend the gift certificate. Happy Monday to you! Until tomorrow.

I'm not very handy in the garden myself, but love the look of a great garden! I normally go for something low maintenance and more of a bush than flower!
Love the YSS picks as well!

I get ya on the shopping thing. I refuse to do it until my clothes are in shreds!

Raised beds are awesome for gardening. Soil warms faster, easier on the back, fewer weeds. My BIL just built several for my sister - they are awesome!

Isn't that new Jillibean Soup wonderful?? LOVE new scrapping supplies, something I can buy way too much of.

Ahhh, gardening...I can't wait until Mother's Day when it's finally "safe" (read - we PROBABLY won't get anymore snow) to put my veggies in the garden. The raised planter beds are a must for ease of everything - you can control the soil by putting a good planting mix in them, control the weeds by putting a weed cloth in before the soil goes in, and they just look fantastic when filled with life! They really are ease to build yourself with a few 2 x 6 (or 2 x 8) boards or you can get them in kits from sites such as gardenerssupply.com (very cool resource by the way). Best of luck on your planting and may your thumb grow ever greener!

I'm the same with shopping--I get so stressed out because I'm (a) indecisive and (b) hate spending money. Alas. But I spend way too much on scrappy supplies;)

We have 5 raised bed planters in the garage waiting to be assembled so I suspect I won't have any gardening advice for at least a year. Tomatoes...kind of hard to mess those up though.

Oh my gosh, both Lily Bee and Jillibean Soup's new ranges can't be bought in New Zealand, so that is definately something I would like to get my hands on. Fingers crossed that $10 lands with me. Thanks for the opportunity, and congrats on being their guest designer!

My dad grows tomatoes but I don't like tomatoes so I've never tried my hand at growing my own. But I do know that you need to grow them on stakes or poles. Or you can go to Bed Bath and Beyond and buy one of those upside down tomato grower contraptions.

Thanks for the chance to win.
I have no garden tips (I once killed a cactus)... I did check out the site, and fell in love with the Fancy Pants Mixed Media Albums. These are SUCH a good idea. Again, thanks for the share. And good luck with your garden!

most of my plants are ones that will droop when thy need watering then perk up afterwards - we just don't have the seasons for growing much of anything where I live in Alaska. I love all the Elles studio products in the YSS store - THAT'S WHAT i WOULD GET IF i WON THE $10 gc

Krystle said...

I don't have any gardening tips (I kill anything I touch) but I am good at shopping! If I got the gc I would get some BG Indian Summer papers, some May Arts ribbon, Pink Paislee flowers, and Prima flowers and pebbles.

After I had kids, I definitely lost the bug for clothes/shoes shopping. Online scrapbook shopping - now, THAT'S fun!!! YSS is a great store - but I am extremely partial to the beautiful bling butterflies she has in the vintage section of the store. They are absolutely gorgeous!

My backyard garden tip is to plant along a West wall...I learned this the hard way, burnt up my garden (east wall), did the research & found this out. And we are in Arizona where it's been warm for a while..our garden is starting to take off right now. I have a pretty long "wish list" so I wouldn't have trouble spending some $stash bucks!!! oh and shopping....not so much on clothes/shoes (although somehow I still have quite a collection)...groceries are ok since I like too cook and fave is SB shopping...online mostly!! Thanks for the giveaway (sorry this got so long)
